Working Weekend at the Rugby Club
Hi everyone and Happy Easter.
Over the Easter weekend we had a working weekend on the second field at the rugby club. This is the other side of the canal from the main rugby club venue and is currently rarely used.
Once we have got this field in usable condition it will enable us to increase the availability of times when we can shoot at the rugby club as we wont be clashing with other booked users of the main pitch.
At the moment it's a blank canvas loaded with possibility - and on Saturday, a dedicated team from the club made huge step forward in making it usable by clearing the undergrowth to make way for a secure compound to store our equipment, and in making the access fit for purpose. Then on Bank Holiday Monday weed resistant membrane was laid where the new container will go to hopefully prevent regrowth while Dan made inroads into a large thicket of brambles with his petrol brushcutter.
Massive thanks to everyone who helped out and to our Chairman Ian for organising and rallying the troops.
