Club Championship 2024
This years Club championship was held on Sunday 21st July.
Unlike the washout last year the greatest risk from the weather this year was sunburn!
Turnout was fantastic with over 25 people shooting including a record 9 people competing for the Novice trophy (Restricted to people who have been with the club less than 1 year, Shoots the same number of arrows but a shorter distance)
For many this was their first taste of a long round (6 ends of 6 at 3 different distances giving a total of 108 arrows and a maximum score of 972)
Juniors shot a shorter round with 2 distances of 24 arrows each end giving a max score of 432
Massive thanks to everyone who came to support the club and compete - its events like this that are the heart of the club. and a massive thanks to Gav for organising it all.

Senior Ladies Recurve: Phyllis with a score of 530
Novices: Stephen with a score of 830
Mens Compound: Brian with a score of 940
Ladies Compound: Sarah with a score of 890
Barebow: David with a score of 620
Longbow: Ian with a score of 497
Juniors: Grace with a score of 172
Plus a humongous 24 qualifying rounds for the 252 award scheme were achieved with several people qualifying in 2 or more distances in one go! Well done to all.
